If you’ve added our Romance Package to your reservation, you’ll find housemade chocolates, a dozen fresh roses, flameless candles glowing softly around the room, silk rose petals scattered across the bed, and a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine or cider chilling and ready to toast your weekend together.

Take your time unpacking, exploring your suite, and settling into vacation mode. Pour that first glass of wine, put on the plush robes, and leave the outside world behind.

4:30 PM – Complimentary Happy Hour

Join us in the common areas for our weekend happy hour. Enjoy a selection of wine, local beer, and light bites while you meet other guests or simply relax and enjoy each other’s company. For Valentine’s weekend, we’ll go all out with a house-crafted cocktail and made just for the occasion. Settle into one of our welcoming common areas, where soft music, good conversation, and a crackling fireplace create a relaxed, romantic vibe. It’s the perfect way to slow down and settle in, no need to rush off anywhere just yet.

6:30 PM – Dinner at Hidden Still Spirits

For your first evening, we recommend staying close by with dinner at Hidden Still Spirits, one of our favorite restaurants in Hershey. This sleek restaurant-distillery hybrid serves handcrafted cocktails made with their own small-batch spirits alongside upscale comfort food. Try the Kung-Pao fried Brussels sprouts or the coffee-rubbed short rib bolognese, followed by a slice of pineapple upside-down cake.

9:00 PM – Evening at the Inn

Return to your suite for a quiet, romantic evening. If you’re staying in the Wilson Room, you can unwind in front of your private in-room fireplace. Or head to the cozy common area and enjoy the warmth of the fire there. Light the flameless candles, draw a bath in the deep soaking tub, and enjoy the chocolate truffles with another glass of wine.

Saturday: A Full Day of Romance & Adventure

9:00 AM – Chef-Prepared Breakfast

Start your day with a delicious breakfast prepared by Chef Hannah. Each morning features a thoughtfully crafted menu using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Enjoy it in our elegant dining room, or if you’ve arranged ahead of time, have breakfast delivered to your suite for a truly indulgent morning in bed.

10:00 AM – Hershey Gardens Butterfly Atrium

After breakfast, take a short drive to Hershey Gardens. Even in winter, the indoor Butterfly Atrium is a magical experience, with hundreds of butterflies from around the world fluttering through a tropical paradise filled with exotic plants, flowers, and the warmth that makes February feel far away. It’s romantic, peaceful, and unlike anything else you’ll do this weekend.

Take your time wandering the pathways, watching butterflies land on flowers (and maybe on you), and enjoying the quiet beauty together.

11:30 AM – Couples’ Massage at a Hershey Spa

After your morning at the gardens, treat yourselves to side-by-side massages at Emerald Springs Spa. This Hershey spa has been pampering couples since 2003, and they’re known for creating a soothing, intimate atmosphere. Their couples’ massages are exceptional, and the skilled therapists will help melt away any lingering stress from the outside world.

1:00 PM – Lunch back at the Inn

After your massage, stop by  I&E Craft Kitchen or Au Bon Lieu French Kitchen to pick up lunch to go. I&E offers creative sandwiches and fresh salads, while Au Bon Lieu specializes in authentic French crepes, both sweet and savory, that transport you straight to a Parisian café.

Bring your lunch back to the inn, where you can enjoy it in our dining space. Take your time, enjoy the walk-in rainforest shower, freshen up, and get ready for your evening in Harrisburg.

2:45 PM – Pennsylvania State Capitol Tour

Arrive in Harrisburg in time for the 3:00 PM guided tour of the Pennsylvania State Capitol. Even if government buildings aren’t usually your thing, trust us on this one. The architecture is stunning. The dome was modeled after St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, and the interior is filled with beautiful murals, intricate marble work, bronze doors, and stained glass that bathes the rotunda in colored light.

3:45 PM – Walk at City Island Park

After your Capitol tour, take a romantic stroll to work up an appetite before dinner. City Island, accessible via the Market Street Bridge, sits in the middle of the Susquehanna River and offers beautiful walking paths with panoramic views of the water and city skyline. As the sun begins to dip lower in the sky, the light becomes soft and golden, perfect for photos and hand-in-hand wandering.

5:30 PM – Dinner at note.bistro & wine bar

For dinner, head to our absolute favorite restaurant in the area: note. bistro & winebar. Chef Stevie creates everything from scratch using local ingredients, crafting a French-inspired menu with both small and full-sized plates that change with the seasons. The wine list is exceptional, the service is warm and attentive, and the atmosphere is romantic without being stuffy. Don’t leave without trying the crème brûlée; it’s perfection.

Reservations are essential (they have very limited seating), so call well in advance for Valentine’s weekend.

7:30 PM – Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra

After dinner, walk to the Forum Auditorium on the Capitol complex for the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra’s Valentine’s weekend performance. The Forum itself is a beautiful venue, a stately auditorium with excellent acoustics and an elegant atmosphere. The quality of the Harrisburg Symphony is exceptional, and there’s something deeply romantic about ending your evening with live classical music. If you’re not already a member, make sure to purchase your tickets online in advance.

Truffles for Couples at The Hershey Story Museum

Book The Hershey Story Museum’s Truffles for Couples class at 5:45 pm. This hands-on chocolate-making experience is designed specifically for couples and takes place in their Chocolate Lab. You’ll learn to create beautiful chocolate truffles together, decorate them, and of course, taste as you go.

Wine Tasting at a Hershey Vineyard

For wine lovers, enjoy an afternoon and early evening at a Hershey Vineyard. Waltz Vineyards, about 20 minutes away in Manheim, is a family-owned estate winery that offers the best wines in the area, along with stunning hilltop views overlooking the vineyards. Arrive in the late afternoon, enjoy a flight of their estate-grown wines in the tasting room, then settle into their outdoor seating area (they have heaters and blankets for February) with a bottle, a cheese and pretzel board, and those sweeping countryside views.

Ice Skating at Twin Ponds

For something more active, head to Twin Ponds Ice & Recreation Arena for public skating. There’s something nostalgic and romantic about skating together, holding hands, laughing when one of you wobbles, warming up afterward with hot chocolate.

Cozy Evening In

If you’d rather keep things simple and unhurried, have an early dinner at note. (or Devon Seafood & Steak if you prefer to stay closer to Hershey), then return to the Inn for a quiet, romantic evening by the fireplace.

On your final morning, treat yourselves to breakfast in bed. Arrange this with us ahead of time, and we’ll deliver a beautiful breakfast spread right to your suite. 10:30 AM – Pack & Check Out

Reluctantly pack your things (and those gorgeous roses) and check out by 11:00 AM. But don’t rush home just yet. We have a few suggestions for extending your weekend just a little longer.

Our guests often head to Olde Factory Antiques or Treasures on Main in nearby Hummelstown. Lunch at a Local Favorite: Grab lunch at one of the charming spots in Hummelstown, Hershey, or Elizabethtown before heading home. The Whisk and The Mill are both great options, depending on your route home.
